You have to start somewhere.

One of my favorite hobbies is to lament the fact that I don’t write enough. It’s a fantastic hobby because it A) requires no specific output and B) allows me to fancy that if I did devote the time to writing, it would only be a matter of time before something magical happened.

Though this hobby has served me ever-so-well for the past decade, curiosity regarding this something magical (please be independent wealth) has compelled me to defiantly call my own bluff and get on with the typing.

Another one of my favorite hobbies is to take care of the compact scrap of Earth I call my own. It’s an unassuming little yard, fraught with dubious grass, patchy privets, and (recently) charming gasfront views…but it’s also anchored by two lovely birches and a lot of glove-clad love from yours truly. When considering that I ought to write more, it occurred to me that my yard provides plenty of fodder for me to prattle on about on a near-daily basis. And thus, OHMYGARDEN! was born. And you, dear reader, are cordially invited along for the ride.

DISCLAIMERS: The narratives won’t always be linear. Most characters will be in persistently vegetative states. Viewers might occasionally see shocking images of weeds, unmown grass, brown-tipped leaves, and…gasp…birds and bees. But fear not, OHMYGARDEN! will also serve to rationalize the author’s compulsion to photograph every gorgeous flower that comes her way.

With that, it only seems proper to conclude my inaugural post with such a photo.

Farewell, fair reader, until I tiptoe through this world of writing with you again!
